Kooroomba Vineyard and Lavendar Farm
Kooroomba has been created as a unique tourist destination, nestled in the Fassifern Valley at Mt Alford near Boonah. The Overflow Estate 1895 is a lovely little winery and cellar door. They offer lunch and grazing menus and tastings of all their Italian grape wines. A great little drive with views of the Wyralong Dam and vineyard with live music on weekends.

Scenic Rim Brewery & Cafe is a small family-owned brewery located at Mt Alford. As the name suggests, the Scenic Rim is known for its natural assets. Walks & Swimming Holes
Lower Portals walk – Mt Barney National Park
The Lower Portals walk is one of the most popular and rewarding walks in the Scenic Rim. A 3km hike will get you to an amazing rock pool where you can swim and enjoy the amazing walls of stone that surround you. There is a secret passage way to get you there 😉 Allow the full day to spend as much time as you like.
Follow the Boonah-Rathdowney Road south for 39km. Turn right on to the Barney View-Upper Logan Road, travel a further 12km and follow the signs to the Lower Portals.
Mt French
The North Cliff Track leads to Logan’s lookout with excellent, panoramic views over the Fassifern Valley, with the Main Range escarpment to the West and Flinders Peak and beyond to the East.
Mount French has one of the most popular and well-known rock climbing locations in South East Queensland. Known locally as ‘Frogs Buttress’. Abseiling and rock climbing is for experiences, suitably equipped climbers only.

Adventure

Boonah Airport is suitable for small planes and is popular for ultra lights and fixed wing gliders. Free transport to Ketchup’s Bank Glamping can be organised for aviators wishing to fly into Boonah. Guests wishing to add a touch of adventure to their weekend can take an Air Experience Flight which allows you to have some ‘hands on’ time with a qualified instructor while enjoying the fabulous scenery around the Scenic Rim.

Scenic Rim Adventure Park offers over 20km of off-road driving, ranging from level one stock standard four wheel driving to the more extreme level three and four tracks for modified vehicles.
